PAPAZ

Origin: Anatolia
Pollinator: Partly self-pollinating, Havran and Aynalı are used
Harvest time: Harvested as from the first week of May

Tree characteristic: It grows expansively and semi-vigorously. As it is an early-ripening variety, it blooms early.
Fruit characteristic: Fruit is slightly smoky and medium-sized. Fruit flesh is green, crispy and juicy. Stone is attached to the flesh. Skin colour gets darker as it ripens and fruit flesh gets softer, but it is usually consumed when still green and firm.

SANTA ROSA

Origin:
Pollinator: Formosa, Golden Japanese and Wickson may be used as pollinators.
Harvest time: Last week of June

Tree characteristic: It displays vigorous and vertical growth.
Fruit characteristic: Medium-sized, round, with an apparent belly line and asymmetrical fruit lobes. Fruit colour is patchy red on light green background and has lenticels. Fruit flesh is yellow in colour, fibrous, less juicy and fully attached to the stone.

BLACK DIAMOND

Origin: California
Pollinator: Friar, Santa Rosa
Harvest time: Fourth week of July

Tree characteristic: Trees grow vigorously and expansively. It is sparsely branched. It is a variety which is quite productive.
Fruit characteristic: Fruit is medium-sized and large and depressed. Colour of the fruit skin is blackish with yellow spots. Fruit flesh is scarlet in colour, firm and moderately juicy. Stone is small and attached to the flesh.

FRIAR

Origin: California
Pollinator: Partly self-pollinating and pollinated by Santa Rosa
Harvest time: As from the second week of August

Tree characteristic: Tree growth occurs semi-vertically, rapidly and moderately vigorous. It is a variety sensitive to bacteria. It is used as a pollinator for most of the plum varieties, but it is non-pollinating for itself and requires a pollinator.
Fruit characteristic: Fruit is round, quite large upon thinning, resistant to cracking, sweet, juicy; skin is dark purple-black on full ripening, smooth and has a shiny surface. Fruit flesh is firm-textured, yellowish white in colour. Stone is loose and rather small.

ANGELENO

Origin: California
Pollinator: Friar, Santa Rosa
Harvest time: Second week of September

Tree characteristic: Trees grow quite vigorously and forms an expansive crown.
Fruit characteristic: Fruit is large and quite large upon thinning, round, slightly depressed on ends, quite firmly textured. Skin is dark violet-black in colour and misty. Fruit flesh is light yellow in colour; stone is small and not attached to the flesh. It may be stored for approximately 3 months in cold store conditions and 4 months in controlled atmosphere without losing its properties. It has started to be grown widely due to this characteristic.

LARRY ANN

Origin:
Pollinator: Black Diamond, Autumn Giant, Fortune, Angeleno, Santa Rosa and Black Star may be used.
Harvest time: Second week of August

Tree characteristic: It grows vertically. It has so closed a crown structure.
Fruit characteristic: Fruits are dark purple in colour, round and slightly depressed on the poles. Fruit flesh is yellow, savoury and soft. It has a good storage resistance.

BLACK SPLENDOR

Origin: California
Pollinator: Santa Rosa, Friar
Harvest time: As from the first week of July

Tree characteristic: Trees display moderately vigorous and expansive growth.
Fruit characteristic: Fruits are medium-sized and skin colour is dark black. Fruit flesh is maroon and blackish.
