Almond Rootstock Features

GF677

It is a rootstock which is a crossbred of peach and almond. It is a vigorously growing rootstock and is suitable for 5x4 or 5x3 planting space. It is an ideal rootstock for peach and almond in calcareous soil with restricted irrigation conditions. Saplings grafted on GF677 rootstocks especially for re-planting in orchards where peach trees have been uprooted, keep growing without causing any problems. It is very highly compatible for grafting on peach, almond and nectarine. It does not like heavy soil structures with high groundwater.

ROOTPAC – 20

It produces shoots at a rate of 40-50% less than GF 677. It adapts well to peach, nectarine, Japanese plums and almond. It is resistant to heavy soils with high groundwater. It is moderately resistant to chlorosis and salinity and resistant to root tumorous nematodes. It is a rootstock suitable for close planting and mechanisation.

GXN ( GARNEM )

It has been created by crossbreeding the Myrobolan, Persica and Dulce varieties. A GF677 rootstock dries up due to asphyxia in such soils with high groundwater and poor drainage, but GN rootstocks adapt to heavy soils as they bear Myrobolan plum gene. It is resistant to root tumorous nematodes.

ROOTPAC – 40

It forms a crown approximately 25-30% smaller than GF 677, but has a creeping root system which is highly developed as a root system. It has an appearance similar to Garnem. It provides early-ripening between 3 and 7 days by variety. It adapts well to any and all climatic conditions; it also adapts very well to those varieties requiring lower cooling requirements. It is moderately resistant to salinity and root tumorous nematodes.
